The social scene within the club is as important as the running side, some would say more so. The Trotters have always had a reputation for being the last to leave the bar!
We organise many different events throughout the year. There are the traditional old favourites as well as some exciting new ones. Please see below for the latest confirmed dates.
If you have an idea for a social event, please contact our Social Secretary, Ruth Johnson. email@example.com
Come and support Lucy Evans who is taking part in the London Marathon and raising money for the Willow Foundation. Lucy has organised this brilliant event with The Estuary Boys playing classic pop/rock covers with a buffet thrown in at £8 a head! It would be great to see a huge bunch of Trotters there - a night not to be missed!
A fantastic team event that's always popular with the Trotters!
Come and have a go at this 2.5 mile undulating course. Each team consists of four runners, each running one leg. There are numerous categories and loads of prizes up for grabs. The event is organised by the Erme Valley Harriers and they had record numbers last year with some great running. It won't cost you a penny, as the Trotters pay your entry, there are great chips and a pint after too!
If you would like to give it a go, please let your team captains know:

Ladies - Eleanor Taylor email@example.com
This year we are off to Bridgwater and the event has a half marathon, 10k and 5k, so no excuse, there is something for everyone.
There will be a coach booked for the day with pick up points, so lets hope we can fill it up for the trip.
There is a bar and BBQ on site to keep us entertained until the half marathon is finished and then its back on the bus for a short trip for a drink and bite to eat.
To book your place on the coach Kevin Besford will need a £5 deposit, which you will have refunded off the cost of your meal.
Entry form will be in our race diary on our website and if you qualify for 2016 marshall points the entry is free. If you have to pay it will cost you £1 less and entry forms should be given to Kevin with cash/cheque.

A real favourite with the Trotters.
What better way to get rid of all that Christmas pudding you ate the day before, than to tie yourself up to a fellow Trotter and run round Shaldon, calling in at the various watering holes and downing a swift half. Believe it or not, it's actually harder than it sounds.
It starts at midday at the Ness House, you can register from 10:30am onwards. All money raised goes to charity.
It really is a fun afternoon for all the family.
I bet that picture on the left has got the attention of all the Trottettes. Sorry Rog, they're not looking at you!
