It's been rather chaotic recently with lots going on and I'm not really sure where to start. Probably with an apology as due to my Templer Ten commitments I've become a little behind with the race reports.

Anyway, in no particular order, I'll kick off with the Cardiff Half Marathon where the evergreen Syd Willocks clocked a personal best time of 1.48.17 No mean feat for somebody in the M65 category. Syd was accompanied by daughter Michelle, who on a course more liken to multi-terrain came home in 1.52.25

Flying the Royal Blue in the Emerald Isle were Marathon Virgins Graham Penn and Ryan Anthony who completed the Dublin Marathon. Ryan in 4.11.55 and Graham 4.27.51 Lets hope thats the first of many for you both

Along the south coast in Portsmouth, Cindy Brookes completed the 10 mile Great South Run amongst almost 20,000 others! Cindy ran a respectable 94.36 amid the masses.

Somewhat closer to home was the 10 mile Eller in the Plymouth area. Well done to Gia D'Aprano who was 2nd FV50 83.01. Milos Erben finished in 91.38

Local event, The Portreeves Challenge saw only 15 or so runners take part, but this did not deter Andy Shakeshaft who in his home town event came in 3rd overall. Also taking part were Roger Hales, Adrian Bailey & John Tweedie

10 mile events seem to be flavour of the month as also going on was the Strete Challenge, a particularly testing event which seems to have no flat sections. Well done to Ewan Walton on acheiving a top ten placing, 9th in 72.53. Also running Mark Becker 77.32, John Tweedie 80.53, Dave Dunn 87.46, Matt Dunn 92.04, Jo Becker 103.47, Marion Witham 116.52 & Angie Weeks 116.53 Completing the shorter 4 mile event was Julie Crump.

And finally, the most travelled Trotter was Stella Imong who completed the Amsterdam Marathon in well inside 4hrs 30mins

Well done to you all - Templer Ten results to follow!
