In its 11th year and raising money for the Devon Air Ambulance, the 62 runners got a glass of beer and a t shirt for their efforts after completing the 10.25 mile undulating course which winds its way up the valley to Christow and back.

David Tomlin, still on fine form after 2nd place in the New forest marathon only a week ago, gained another 2nd in this race in a time of 63.46 and 1st senior man only being beaten by Dave Stone of Exmouth Harriers whose time was 62 minutes. Further down in Cornwall the Wadebridge Sprint Triathlon took place .It consisted of a 400 metre swim,15 mile cycle and 5 mile run which was up the Camel Trail and back with around 100 people completing .7 Trotters took up this challenge and ,like the Toddle ,Swept the board with more trophies. In the women's section Becky George was in fine form doing the distances in 1hr 38.48 gaining 2nd lady overall and 1st Vet 40.Not far behind her was Penny Aitchison finishing 4th lady and 2nd Vet 45 in another good time of 1hr 47.27 Tina Caunter came 1st in the vet 50 category with her time of 1hr 59.11.
Not to be out done by the women, the men were also in fine form with Adam Caunter (second claim member) coming 5th overall in a fantastic time of 1hr 20.49.Stewart Dunn completing his 2nd tri did 1hr 33.34.John Caunter then took the 1st vet 55 prize with a time of 1hr 37.39 and Gary Caunter 1hr 37.37 rounding up the Trotter Triathletes.
