Skippy's first PB since joining the Trotters!.........

Last Friday (June 29th) saw another large show of Trotters at the Sandygate Loop. The tough 4 mile course was no match for the clutch of Trotters who all posted PB's.

First to do so was men's club captain, Tarquin Milford, who recorded the fastest time on the course of the year so far, clocking 22:06 as he flew across the finish line. Lance (Skippy) Mason was next home as he also recorded a PB, with a time of 24:40. This was Skippy's first PB since he joined the Trotters! Travis Wood crossed the line in third place and made it a hat rick of PB"s for the first three. Travis posted a time of 25:14 and if his current form continues, he must surely be in for a shout for this year's most improved male. Next in was a lady who just seems to go from strength to strength at the moment, regardless of what distance she takes on, it was the super quick Jacki Woon, who stormed round the course in a new PB time of 28:18.

Kevin Besford also set a new PB with a time of 32:30, as did Sarah (Otter) Seymour with her splendid 34:21 (another one to keep your eye on for, this time for most improved female). Super vet, Lucy Payne, who is having another great year on the road, posted yet another PB, crossing the line in 34:28 and last but not least, Catherine Barnes, who made up the impressive list of PB'ers. Catherine's new PB now stands at 35:54 after her gritty run.

It's always nice to see new members or ones that have never had a go at the Loop try it for the first time and this month saw husband and wife team, Mark & Sharon Hutchins, Rob Cowling, Paul Evans and Rachel Pallant, all give it a go. Hopefully they will all be back next month to try and knock a few seconds or more! off their times.

A full set of times for the year thus far, can be found via the Sandygate Loop link on our website.

The date for the next Sandygate Loop is Friday 27th July, when the course will be run in an anti-clockwise direction.
