Trotters not afraid to get damp feet at Dalwoods...........

Lone trotter Gary Clark travelled on Sunday to run the “Heart breaker Marathon” in Fordingbridge in the New Forest district of Hampshire. Starting at Sandy Balls holiday park, the race started after a walk down a steep stony track, which then  had to be run back up and through the holiday camp on to the main road for about 1 mile. From then it was all stony tracks and very undulating with runners having to loop around a cone 3 times each then back the way they came. He clocked 3.32.41 in his 13th marathon and was 21st out of 130 runners even though he found the course uninteresting.

On Sunday Steve Wallace went up to Weston-Super-Mare for the "Tough 10 Challenge", a 10 mile run which starts on the beach, up to the promenade, along a traffic free road and then two laps up and down through the woods. It was a great course and not as muddy as last year. His time was 1-31-21 and was 530th out of 812.

Closer to home the hardy Teignbridge trotters drove to the small village of Dalwoods in East Devon to compete in the “Dalwoods three hill challenge” which is a very tough ten mile, off road event around the village and its steep hills, as the title says, which finishes in a stream after running up and down  rutted paths and muddy tracks.
