On Saturday 20th November, five Teignbridge Trotters took part in a Runningeventsdevon marathon. The weather was overcast but perfect running conditions. The loops ran along the old railway between Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton, each lap measuring 5.3km. Therefore, 8 laps was required to complete the full marathon distance. The slight inclines on each lap made it a good test of endurance.

Our own Roger Hayes won the race in great style. Roger out stayed Graydon Widdicombe, clocking a a great time of 03:34:15 and another marathon to add to his growing tally.

As mentioned, Graydon finished in runners up spot, posting a highly respectable time of 03:43:40.

The other Trotter positions & times: Derek Skinner (5, 03:58:22), Paul Sharples (9, 05:34:02), Sharon Sharples (10, 05:34:14). There were 15 finishers.

The low key event was very well organised and the support staff were very friendly and supportive.
