The Budleigh Blister a nearly 10m race by Exmouth Harriers took place in warm conditions from Budleigh Cricket Club. The strong Trotter turnout had a choice of 5 or 10 miles, with a crossing of the estuary followed by coastal path undulations heading East with coastal views but slippery muddy sections making trail shoes highly recommended. The tougher 1st half included a high point of the coastal path after Ladram Bay before an easier 2nd with lanes, bridal paths, fields including unhelpful gates with less hills. Flat terrain was saved for the last few miles down the estuary heading seaward before the bridge to return 800m home with a short climb to the Cricket club finish. An easier race than many recent options in the calendar.

Lead trotter home was Oli Reynolds 2nd 59:38 behind repeat winner Tom Merson of Exmouth Harriers. The finishers included Roger Easterbrook 7th 1:05:07 1st MV50, Ben Elphick 20th 1:12:17, Duncan Knight 34th 1:15:08, Helen Anthony 35th (1st female Trotter home) 1:15:20, Steve Weeks 45th 1:18:34 just holding off Guy Jary 46th 1:18:37,
