The route then goes back on the road for two miles or so, finishing with half a mile on off-road paths. Assuming the weather is kind, the going is normally firm, although in adverse conditions, off-road shoes would be advantageous. There are a number of stiles along the course and gates that will be opened by marshals. Please remember that the off-road sections of the course follow the Templer Way public footpath and we ask that you are courteous to other users. Dogs will be allowed on the course, but only accompanied, on a leash. There will be three water stations en-route, as well as at the finish.
