Strong Showing for Trotters at the Easter Bunny 10K

Eighteen Trotters turned out for this year’s Easter Bunny 10K, making it a well‑supported club championship race and a lively Easter morning on the start line. Conditions were near perfect with bright sunshine and a cool breeze. 

For Sue Tremlett, it was especially satisfying to finally get to take part after originally entering the race back in 2020 before the pandemic intervened, and the Easter Bunny medal proved a popular reward at the finish. It was also great to see Lucy Evans back racing after a few weeks of illness following the Grizzly, making a welcome return to competition. Bob Small was pleased with his race, finishing just 18 seconds outside his club record on the same course from last year.

At the front of the field, Donald Brooks continued his excellent early‑season form with a superb run to finish fifth overall, also securing first Male V40 honours. Strong age‑category performances followed across the Trotters, with James Saunders taking second Male V60, Kathryn Steemson finishing third Female V45, Bob Small claiming second Male V70 and Patricia Atkins picking up second Female V55.
