This exhilarating 10km race along the beautiful River Exe and Exeter Quay. A City-Runs Race that Starts and Finish's in Exwick, Exeter. The 2 Lap route offered participants a traffic-free and fast-paced race. The scenic views and flat paths provided an ideal setting for runners of all levels to challenge themselves and achieve their goals
But due to all the rain we have had, a section of the route was flooded and there was a lot of puddles on the route. So the course was reverted to a 4 lap course.

Melanie Brooks quoted: They changed course from 2 laps to 4 laps of the summer 5k series due to flooding - so not the most inspiring route! Apparently the event team were up at 3.30am brushing away the puddles on the 4 lap route (which they did a good job of!). It felt hard work today and definitely not my best performance - but we got a cream egg!
