The social scene within the club is as important as the running side, some would say more so. The Trotters have always had a reputation for being the last to leave the bar!
We organise many different events throughout the year. There are the traditional old favourites as well as some exciting new ones. Please see below for the latest confirmed dates.
If you have an idea for a social event, please contact our Social Secretary, Ruth Johnson. email@example.com
A great way for new members to meet fellow Trotters. There will be games, some of them silly, but all good fun!
Please bring a bottle and your kids if you want to.
Once you've had your fill of burgers and hot dogs, the plan is to walk into town for a few drinks and some live music. You can join us or call it a day, the choice is yours.
All Trotters welcome to come and join us for this undulating 10k recce run around the lanes of Denbury and Ogwell.
Meeting at Dornafield Caravan and Camping: C group - 6.30pm, B group - 6.45pm, A group - 7.00pm (PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NEED REFLECTIVE BIBS FOR THIS RUN).
There will be a meal after, more info to follow.
Come and join us for this fabulous, mostly off-road 10 mile course through the Stover Country Park and Teigngrace.
Times for groups leaving: C group - 8.45am, B group - 9.00am, A group - 9.15am (please come in time for your group)!
Please remember this is not a race, more a social run and a chance to show people where they will be marshalling. Parking in the car park immediately on the left as you drive in to Stover School.
This is a 4-mile handicap race which starts and finishes at the same place as the Sandygate Loop (on the bridge by the Sandygate Pub). The idea is that with the handicap system all runners should more or less finish around the same time.
Everyone that enters will be asked to bring a secret Santa gift for the value of £5, festively wrapped!
There will be a roast on offer at the Rec after the race. (more info to follow nearer the time)!
Don't miss the Trotters social event of the year!
Ticket price includes a buffet and disco (this will be updated nearer the time).
Come along and dance the night away, you may even be lucky enough to bag a trophy!
A real favourite with the Trotters.
What better way to get rid of all that Christmas pudding you ate the day before, than to tie yourself up to a fellow Trotter and run round Shaldon, calling in at the various watering holes and downing a swift half. Believe it or not, it's actually harder than it sounds.
It starts at midday at the Ness House, you can register from 10:30am onwards. All money raised goes to charity.
It really is a fun afternoon for all the family.
I bet that picture on the left has got the attention of all the Trottettes. Sorry Rog, they're not looking at you!
