Last to leave the bar!

The social scene within the club is as important as the running side, some would say more so. The Trotters have always had a reputation for being the last to leave the bar!

We organise many different events throughout the year. There are the traditional old favourites as well as some exciting new ones. Please see below for the latest confirmed dates.

If you have an idea for a social event, please contact our Social Secretary, Nigel 'It's my round' Barnett. nigel.barnett@hotmail.co.uk

Sandygate Loop: 2022 dates - Friday 27th May, 24th June, 29th July

Come and test yourself on this challenging 4 mile course that starts and finishes at the Sandygate Inn, Kingsteignton.  We stagger the start times at 6.50pm and 7pm, depending on numbers of runners, for anyone running under 32 minutes (the idea being that most people will finish around the same time).

There is ample parking on the road (Sandygate Mill), please DON'T park in the pub car park or on either side of the bridge (near the start line)

Club kit does not need to be worn for this event.  Why not try and do all three and see if you improve!

Club Camp 2022

We had a fantastic time at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, Bridport; read all about it in the next edition of The Trotter!

Details of the venue for Club Camp 2023 will be released soon!

Come and join us for a fab, family friendly weekend.

There will be organised runs, fun and games, camp-fire chat and there's a private beach too!  And always remember, what happens at Club Camp, stays at Club Camp!

If you're interested contact Liz or Nigel Barnett, don't miss out on all that lovely sunshine!

Erme Valley Relays - Friday 3rd July 7pm

A 2.5 mile race in teams of four around the lanes of Ivybridge, starting and finishing at the Ivybridge Rugby club.  This is a great event and you can support your team makes aswell, whilst having and pint and some chips!

Anyone can have a go at this, no matter your speed, it is great fun.

This will be updated shortly.....

Shaldon 3-Legged Race ~ Boxing Day

A real favourite with the Trotters.

What better way to get rid of all that Christmas pudding you ate the day before, than to tie yourself up to a fellow Trotter and run round Shaldon, calling in at the various watering holes and downing a swift half. Believe it or not, it's actually harder than it sounds.

It starts at midday at the Ness House, you can register from 10:30am onwards. All money raised goes to charity.

It really is a fun afternoon for all the family.
