Tommo Hares round Saltram Park

Nine Teignbridge Trotters took part in the Mad March Hare 10K race at Saltram Park near Plympton on Sunday. Organised by Plymouth Round Table, the 300 plus runners were blessed with dry and sunny conditions over the undulating course.
First Trotter across the line was Dave Tomlin - 5th overall and with an excellent time of 36:42. Other results were: Nigel Penwarden (45:43), Mark Wotton (46:57), Sharon Bowman (50:10), Stephen Wallace (54:36), Steve Rawlinson (55:36), Marion Witham (62:40), Julie Crump (66:19) and making a welcome return to the running scene was Richard Keatley with a time of 51:03.
Also on Sunday, two further Trotters made the long journey to Bath for the Half Marathon. The flat, two lap, traffic free course was established in1981 and has been voted 3rd Best Running Event in the Country.
No doubt taking the waters at every opportunity, on this fine hot day, were seasoned veteran Mark Hamling (1:36:05) and Cindy Brookes, who was running her second Half Marathon and recording a creditable 2:19:00.
The results for the Grizzly Cub 9 mile event on Sunday 8th March are now available and show very respectable times for Natalie Coen (1:43:06) and Marsha Garrard (1:48:19).
